Jeffrey A. Young
Symphony No. 20 (2026)
I. Allegro
II. Adagio
III. Presto
IV. Adagio
Rambunctious at the start, Symphony No. 20’s opening movement is a mix a tonal techniques and dissonance supplied by utilization of atonal techniques. The second movement is a bit more pastoral, in 6/8 through out its length, it is a song filled Adagio. The third movement, though not a triple meter movement, is still in the spirit of the Scherzo and finally the fourth, a solemn hymn.
