The “Dies Irae,” which translates to “Day of Wrath”, is what is referred to as the sequence of the Requiem Mass proper, and uses as its text a long poem depicting the Apocalypse.

Created by Tolkien years before the Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit were written, Beren and Luthien are the central figures to Tolkien’s entire mythology in the Silmarillion.
