Concerto for Oboe (2025)

This concerto in three movements features the oboe, and follows the tradition of the original classical concerto in that it is derived from dance music. Featured prominently in the first movement is a duet between the oboe and percussion. Following, the second movement is characterized by soaring melodies in the oboes accompanied by lush textures in the ensemble. The third movement, a fast movement features the oboes in counterpoint with choirs of instruments as well as soloists.
