Symphony No. 10 (2024)

Jeffrey A. Young
Symphony No. 10, “The Tales of Odysseus” (2024)

Symphony No. 10 was inspired by the epic poem by Homer, The Odyssey, which chronicles the journey and adventures of its hero Odysseus on his way home from the Trojan War. It is in seven movements instead of the typical four, each depicting a certain episode from the story. With imaginative orchestration and vibrant harmonies, this symphony portrays the story through sound painting and sound scaping.
