Concerto for Clarinet (2024)

The Clarinet Concerto attempts to capture the lyrical side of the instrument as well as the purely virtuosic. It is arranged in a fast-slow-fast design. The second movement is inspired by a movement of Mozart’s Gran Partita and opens with a similar texture and melody from the clarinets. The third movement, announced with a trill in the clarinet, settle into a multi movement jamboree for soloist and ensemble.
